A star-studded dinner celebrated the house’s centenary and its latest reimagined boutique

LORO PIANA opened the doors to its newest reworked boutique in Beverly Hills for cocktails before hosting an intimate alfresco dinner at the Beverly Estate in celebration of a number of milestones, including the Italian house’s centennial and the launch of a coffee table book commemorating its founders, on Thursday, October 10. Damien Bertrand, the house’s CEO, welcomed Michelle Williams, Jeremy Strong, Kerry Washington, Andrew Garfield, Dwyane Wade, Zaya Wade, Sarah Paulson, Rashida Jones, Kit Harington, Tom Daley, Elizabeth Olsen, Ewan McGregor, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka, John Mulaney, Will Arnett, Rob Lowe, John Owen Lowe, Lewis Pullman, Lili Reinhart, Raff Law, Amanda Peet, and Liv Perez to two candlelit tables set in front of an outdoor hearth. Evan Funke of Venice’s Felix Trattoria created the evening’s menu of handmade autumn squash ravioli and baked halibut filet paired with artichoke salad. Olive oil cake and seasonal fruit followed suit.
Earlier in the evening, the guests gathered at the reopened Rodeo Drive boutique, a three-level space filled with designs made from natural fabrics manufactured by the house with deep roots in northern Piedmont, known for its innovative collaborations — lightweight, raw Denim Silk was recently launched with selvage denim makers in Japan’s Bingo region — and modern designs. Even the store’s glazed ceramic façade, in shades of the company’s trademark kummel red, referenced the undulating texture of materials made from fleece. Inside, amid the women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections, leather goods, footwear, and a room for private appointments complete with a rooftop deck, guests got a look at a new coffee table book, Master of Fibres (Assouline), documenting the evolution of the company’s innovations over the past 100 years, the family members and creatives who have helmed the Italian house, and the impeccable knitwear worn by generations of Hollywood’s boldest names. loropiana.com.
