Ryan Destiny has been on a red carpet roll recently, and her latest look at the AFI Fest screening of ‘The Fire Inside’ is no exception. The actress, who’s been earning acclaim for her portrayal of Olympic gold medalist boxer Claressa Shields, arrived at TCL Chinese 6 Theatres on Sunday wearing a sleek two-piece outfit that proved her style choices continue to impress.
After her stunning appearance at the InStyle Imagemaker Awards—could she deliver another memorable look? Absolutely.
Destiny’s ensemble, a taupe twist-knot crop blazer and a long, tailored skirt from the Oude Waag Spring 2025 collection, was a masterclass in understated sophistication. The soft taupe hue brought a refreshing alternative to chocolate and burgundy hues favoured this fall, and the delicate sheen of the satin lapels added a touch of subtle luxury.
The crop blazer’s unique design created an eye-catching focal point, while the skirt length, slightly modified from the runway version to not drape as low, allowed for a cleaner, more polished silhouette. This small adjustment helped keep the ensemble feeling tailored and modern without sacrificing the original design.
One detail that might sparked some debate is the choker. Personally, I could see the look being just as impactful without it. However, the choker adds to the unique elements of the outfit, which aligns with Destiny’s youthful, dynamic style.
The look was finished with brown satin pumps that perfectly complemented the warm tones of the taupe fabric.
