Fresh off a glamorous night in Rome, Sofia Carson made an unforgettable entrance at the New York screening of ‘Andrea Bocelli 30: The Celebration’, held at Regal Essex Crossing on Thursday.
Once again, Sofia didn’t disappoint, bringing a level of sophistication and flair that felt tailor-made for the event. In a daring double-feature of fashion, she seamlessly navigated from Elie Saab Haute Couture to Dolce & Gabbana, demonstrating a striking range and impeccable styling.
For her red carpet look, Sofia once again embraced the romantic allure of Elie Saab, choosing a flamingo-pink dress from the designer’s Spring 2024 Haute Couture collection. The gown, adorned with delicate floral cut-out motifs and embellished with tone-on-tone pearls and crystals, was a statement of elegance.
However, it was the accompanying long hooded caftan cape that truly stole the spotlight, evoking an aura of mystery and drama. The hood—a trend that has become a red carpet favourite since 2022—added a sense of timeless glamour and highlighted the enduring power of Saab’s couture vision. This ensemble spoke to Sofia’s ability to capture the perfect balance between femininity and high drama.
Once inside the venue, Sofia made a quick change into a tailored Dolce & Gabbana velvet tuxedo with satin lapels from the Fall 2024 collection. Paired with a crisp tuxedo shirt, cummerbund, and satin bow, this classic ensemble was as timeless as Bocelli’s music itself.
The contrast between the soft, ethereal Saab look and the structured, masculine Dolce & Gabbana tux showcased her versatility and appreciation for both contemporary and classic styles. This choice was a refreshing twist on the oversized trend that has been dominating red carpets, proving that well-fitted elegance can make just as strong an impression.
From ethereal couture to sharp suiting, I love that Sofia is unafraid to mix bold statements with timeless elegance.
Both looks were styled with Chopard jewels.
