Unilever Prestige has named Mary Carmen Gasco-Buisson as its new chief executive officer.
Gasco-Buisson joins from Pandora, where she was chief marketing officer from 2022; prior to that, she worked at Unilever and P&G on mass brands such as Axe and Lynx, as well as prestige fragrances including Hugo Boss.
Unilever’s prestige arm, created in 2014, includes premium brands such as the skincare lines Tatcha and Dermalogica, cosmetics maker Hourglass, and the buzzy hair care line K18 which it acquired last year.
Gasco-Buisson’s appointment comes at a time of evolution for the company. Aside from the departure of Petrou, its founding chief executive, the division is also reportedly mulling a sale of two of its skincare lines, Ren Clean Skincare and Kate Somerville.
