Fresh off her recent triumph at the 2024 Academy Museum Gala, Zoe Saldana hit the red carpet again, this time for the Los Angeles premiere of ‘Emilia Pérez’.
Could she deliver two standout looks in just 72 hours? The answer is a resounding yes.
For this premiere, Zoe wore a custom Saint Laurent strapless black gown featuring a pink satin-twill puffed neckline that immediately evoked the essence of vintage YSL Haute Couture.
It’s a piece that feels so authentic to the brand’s archives, you could easily mistake it for a throwback. The design instantly brings to mind Yves Saint Laurent’s legendary muses—Fidelia, Iman, and Katoucha Niane—all of whom could have effortlessly graced the runway in a gown like this.
While Zoe has previously dabbled in vintage recreations, this gown delivers everything I had hoped for from her Cannes Film Festival premiere gown, which was a recreation of Yves Saint Laurent’s Spring 1986 Haute Couture. This latest ensemble hits the mark in every way—dramatic, timeless, and elegant.
Panthère de Cartier earrings and a Panthère de Cartier ring provided the perfect finishing touches.
This Saint Laurent look, with its homage to fashion history (whether it was intentional or coincidental), is easily one of her best of this tour so far.
