Ariana Grande joined her co-star Cynthia Erivo on the red carpet at the ‘Wicked’ LA premiere, delivering yet another look that feels like a continuation of her recent fashion chapter. This custom Thom Browne dress is a nod to the fitted bodice and flared skirt silhouette she has repeatedly embraced since her 2024 Paris Olympics photocall.
In fact, the silhouette is strikingly similar to her pink sleeveless dress from the Olympics which shouldn’t be a surprise given that both pieces are designed by Thom Browne.
With this red carpet look, Ariana showcases Browne’s design in a playful pink and white check pattern, complemented by a capelet and a matching bow nestled in her hair—a charming touch.
Aside from the ‘Wicked’ New York screening, this is the first look that truly piqued my interest on her press tour. It’s cute, it’s on theme, and it’s undeniably Ariana. Some might find it repetitive or overly predictable, but at this point, I feel we’re not likely to get any surprising style choices during this tour. I am firmly in a state of “expecting the expected.”
Is it too samey? Too twee? Perhaps, but there’s also a sense of comfort in her consistency as Ariana is showing us that she has found its groove in this silhouette.
