For those who’ve been eagerly waiting for something different from Ariana Grande during her ‘Wicked’ press tour, Monday’s appearance was nothing short of a jaw-dropper.
Ariana took to the yellow-carpeted stairs at the Auditorio Nacional in Mexico City wearing a custom Atelier Versace gown that transformed her into a modern fairytale vision. If you, like me, have been craving something that would take your breath away, this is the look we’ve all been waiting for.
The gown itself is a masterpiece of whimsy and sophistication. With its iridescent finish and deep V-neckline, it channels both elegance and an ethereal magic fitting for the night. The structural boning through the bodice creates a defined shape, leading down to a breathtakingly voluminous skirt that fans out in layers, giving a cloud-like effect that feels straight from a storybook.
It is a look that invites you to lean in and admire each detail, each layer, and the movement of the fabric itself. Ariana’s simple, half-up, half-down hairstyle allowed the gown to take center stage, while her diamond jewels added more sparkle, completing what can only be described as a “princess moment.” This gown is one I expect to see pinned on countless Pinterest wedding boards in the days to come.
This is the magic I hoped this tour would bring, and I’m completely swept up in it.
