Charlize Theron added another accolade to her name, accepting the prestigious Giving Tree Award at the 2024 Baby2Baby Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. The award, recognising her commitment to improving the lives of children in need, places her in the company of past honourees like Salma Hayek, Kerry Washington, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, and Kate Hudson.
The South African actress graced the gala looking every bit like a Grecian goddess in an ecru Schiaparelli Spring 2025 halter neck maxi dress. The design featured a contrasting raw denim bustier, with the real drama unfolding in the gown’s stunning back detail. This is Charlize at her most statuesque, and the fusion of textures—ethereal fabric paired with structured denim—made this a standout look.
I almost want to say that this is an unusually sultry moment for Charlize. But let’s be honest—she’s had her fair share of bold, seductive looks over the years, especially in sheer, lace Dior gowns. Yet this Schiaparelli dress carries a different kind of allure. It’s the silhouette and the drapery that heighten the mood, lending Charlize an air of effortless, timeless sensuality.
I love how she embraced the full Schiaparelli experience, wearing the brand’s signature keyhole-shaped hammered gold brass earrings, which brought just the right amount of drama to the ensemble. Plus, the black leather Schiaparelli pumps embroidered with a measuring tape detail in gold metal—an eccentric touch that, thankfully, remained mostly hidden.
The look was as remarkable as the award itself.
