Connie Nielsen brought unapologetic glamour to the ‘Gladiator II’ premiere at Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan today, where the actress wore a look from Dundas’ Pre-Fall 2020 collection.
Even though it was crafted in a shirt-dress silhouette, any notions of a laid-back vibe were instantly dismissed by its opulent, all-over embellishment. The sparkle alone declared that this dress meant business, a fitting choice for the leading lady of the evening.
With such a dazzling ensemble, the choice to pair it with diamond earrings and a pendant necklace was a confident one. While some may question the need for additional sparkle, the diamonds elevated the glamour without overwhelming the look. Connie’s choice of classic, Veronica Lake-inspired waves added another layer of elegance to her appearance, enhancing the dress’ luxe appeal and adding a touch of Old Hollywood.
However, if there was one detail I’d change, it would be her lip shade. With the high-voltage sparkle and soft skin-tone shade, a lighter lip could have been a softer option. Still, it’s a minor quibble for an otherwise impeccable look.
Considering this is a Dundas dress, you won’t be surprised to learn that it made its first red carpet appearance on Heidi Klum at the 2020 Grammys.
