Here is a final roundup from the menswear looks on the red carpet from this week.
2024 Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards
Paapa Essiedu gave us much to admire at the Harper’s Bazaar Women of the Year Awards, where he presented the Breakthrough Award in an Emporio Armani navy suit from the Fall 2024 collection. The subtle pinstripes, precise tailoring, and the intriguing shirt collar—which appeared as an undone bow-tie or sailor’s neckerchief—added modern romance to his look. I’m glad he didn’t add a brooch to keep the look simple and clean.

Gladiator II Dublin Premiere
Paul Mescal brought a touch of Hollywood sophistication to his homeland at the ‘Gladiator II’ Dublin premiere, dressed in a custom Gucci ensemble. His grey herringbone tweed long coat stood as the centerpiece, adding a textured elegance to an otherwise simple look. The minimalist white collarless shirt and black trousers allowed the coat to shine without distraction.

Yellowstone Season 5 Part 2 Premiere
Ian Bohen delivered a nostalgic touch at the ‘Yellowstone’ premiere in a Dolce & Gabbana white pinstripe Sicilia-fit jacket. Though previously seen on on Stanley Simons and others, this piece remains a classic as it’s never styled the same way twice, showing its versatility and timeless appeal.

Red One Fan Screening London Event
Dwayne Johnson’s custom Dolce & Gabbana look at the ‘Red One’ screening embraced the current trend of mixing multiple colours—brown, black, cinnamon, and white. While bold, the combination felt somewhat excessive, and a simplified palette may have been more effectively. Stuart Weitzman Premiere Party Oxfords completed his look.
And I feel that Chris Evan’s Thom Sweeney look perfectly shows how the sticking to the same hue in different tones, and textures works so much more effectively.

Reimagining The Future Gala Dinner
Finally, Lewis Hamilton toned down his usual love for bold colours for a Ferragamo Fall 2024 look at his Mission 44 gala, allowing his charitable mission to take the focus. His understated style was all about sophistication, with the long coat playing a starring role in his ensemble.
