The 2024 Gotham Awards proved to be a masterclass in menswear, with attendees embracing everything from timeless tailoring to daring, detail-rich ensembles. These gentlemen showed us that style is in the details, whether it’s impeccable fits, unique textures, or boundary-pushing accents.
A sparkling twist
Adrien Brody will always be the classic suited-and-booted kinda guy, but on this occasion, he made his Louis Vuitton black coat with a Damier embroidered sequin collar the focus of his look. A subtle yet impactful choice, perfectly balancing elegance and seasonal practicality as temperatures drop.

Masterclass in monochrome layering
Colman Domingo gave equal stage time to his beige Burberry coat and taupe striped suit, proving he’s a pro at balancing sophistication and flair. His ability to sell a suit like no other makes every appearance feel like a moment. The sandy Christian Louboutin Samson Orlato boots tied the look together effortlessly, creating a cohesive finish. Now, who else is counting down to his 2025 Met Gala appearance?

Brown leather, tonal perfection
Ethan Herisse made waves in a Louis Vuitton brown leather single-breasted suit, confirming his rising star status on the fashion scene. The tonal silk brown shirt and tie combo elevated the warm palette. As I’ve said before, brown thrives when paired with complementary shades, and Ethan executed this flawlessly. Expect him to dominate future carpets.

Victorian flair meets contemporary cool
Justice Smith brought a touch of whimsy with his Valentino by Alessandro Michele green Resort 2025 suit. The ivory ruffled shirt evoked vintage charm, while the suit’s modern cut made it undeniably fresh. Some might think it nods to a Dickensian aesthetic, but I appreciate the creativity. This is the kind of playful menswear moment we deserved at The Fashion Awards but missed.

Crystal-lined sophistication
With crystal-detailed lapels on his McQueen Resort 2025 suit, Kieran Culkin brought subtle sparkle to the red carpet.

Back-to-school chic, Loewe style
Josh O’Connor gave us academic charm with a custom Loewe suit that felt like a polished take on a school uniform. The fluid tie added a retro touch, while Campo Derby shoes completed the ensemble. This playfully vibe is quintessential Josh. I have so missed this.

Tassel-tastic tailoring
Mark Eydelshteyn wore a Valentino Spring 2025 suit, which if you look closely, you’ll see that both the jacket and trousers are accented with tassel detailing. The black frog fastenings and crepe waistband added depth to this thoughtfully crafted look. On a night filled with well-dressed men, Mark’s attention to detail made his look one to remember.

Rust never looked so rich
Oscar Isaac reaffirmed his love for rust hues in a stunning Brioni ensemble. The shade worked beautifully against his olive skin tone, creating a harmonious palette. As a Brioni ambassador, his entire look was courtesy of the Italian label, and the textured jacket was a highlight.

Willy Wonka Returns
Timothée Chalamet has been immersed in filming multiple projects, leaving a noticeable void on the red carpet. But much like Jacob Elordi, his return brought a new addition: facial hair. The look gives him a touch of Inspector Clouseau charm. Dressed in an effortlessly cool Celine suit, this was a stylish re-entry to the spotlight.
