Alicia Vikander graced the 2024 British Independent Film Awards (BIFA) at the Roundhouse in London on Sunday, and it will come as no surprise to anyone that she wore Louis Vuitton. What might intrigue you, however, is that this isn’t her first outing in this dress.
Yes, Alicia has worn this Louis Vuitton green sequin embroidered tank top dress with ruffles before—or at least, a variation of it. The first time we saw this dress was during the Tribeca Festival premiere of ‘Firebrand,’ where she wore a multi-coloured version featuring floral embroidery from the Resort 2025 collection.
This single-colour, deeper neckline iteration feels like a more streamlined and elevated version, perfectly suited to the tone of an awards ceremony. Where the multi-coloured version felt playful and whimsical, this green version leans into a more refined sophistication. The ruffles remain, but they’re understated, letting the intricate sequins take center stage.
Silver leather Louis Vuitton sandals and Radiant earrings in yellow and white gold with diamonds, paired with the La Star Du Nord ring from the Louis Vuitton High Jewelry Collection completed her look. Together, these elements elevated the overall ensemble without competing with the dress’s inherent glamour.
Is this the most groundbreaking look we’ve seen from Alicia? Perhaps not. But it’s undeniably her—a celebration of her partnership with Louis Vuitton and her ability to make re-wearing feel like reinvention.
