Ariana Grande Wore The Row To The 'Wicked' SAG-AFTRA Foundation Screening

Ariana Grande attended the SAG-AFTRA Foundation screening and Q&A of ‘Wicked’ at the Robin Williams Center in New York City, and honestly, this was a curveball I didn’t see coming.

If you told me Ariana would one day wear a black dress from The Row, I wouldn’t have been able to picture it. But here we are, and I have to say, I’m intrigued. Even pre-‘Wicked’ press tour, this doesn’t align with any style narrative we’ve seen from her.

I’m really enjoying this outing, mostly because it’s so different. It’s not pink, there’s no tulle in sight, and it feels perfectly suited for a low-key screening without the flashiness of a major red carpet. This choice feels thoughtful—chic yet understated, a quiet departure from her usual aesthetic.

If you’re having a case of déjà vu, it’s likely because Greta Lee wore the same dress to the SAG Awards. Granted, Greta’s pistachio-hued version with a totally different texture brought an entirely different energy to the design, but it’s interesting to see how versatile this piece can be.

For Ariana, this is unlikely to signal a new direction, but for now, I’m here for the unexpected and the evolution it represents.
