The Golden Globe First-Time Nominee Luncheon held at The Maybourne Beverly Hills on Tuesday brought together an exciting mix of Hollywood talent, including Ariana Grande and these standout names.
Saffron Sophistication
Nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for her role in ‘Emilia Pérez,’ Zoe Saldana brought a much-needed pop of colour to this red carpet. Her saffron yellow Saint Laurent Resort 2025 dress continued her love affair with ruffled designs from the house. The bright red lip gave the look an added boost, creating a perfect balance between daytime event chic and personality.
Vintage Simplicity
Pamela Anderson, nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama for her role in ‘The Last Showgirl,’ opted for an understated vintage A-line dress. While her no-makeup stance continues to be refreshing and empowering, I can’t help but wish for more vibrancy in her wardrobe. Lately, everything has felt a bit washed out and sombre, which leaves me craving a bolder choice to match her dynamic personality.
Understated but Unpolished
Red Carpet newcomer Mikey Madison, a nominee for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy for ‘Anora,’ wore a JW Anderson Fall 2024 dress. If this dress looks familiar, you may recall Rachel McAdams debuting it earlier this year at the ‘Mary Jane Opening Night.’ Mikey’s version featured sleeves, but what really matters is her footwear. Her black pumps felt heavy for this delicate design, especially against the lightness of the fabric. A softer or more playful shoe might have complemented this look better.
