While her co-stars Monica Barbaro and Timothée Chalamet leaned into thematic dressing for the New York City premiere of ‘A Complete Unknown’ at the SVA Theater on Friday, Elle Fanning went in a different direction. If anything, her look felt more like an homage to the rom-com classic ‘How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days.’
Elle delivered what I’d call classic Elle, stepping out in a pale yellow strapless Prada satin double gown from the Spring 2025 collection. The soft, luminous fabric and delicate hue were pure old Hollywood glamour, perfectly aligned with the timeless elegance Elle always brings to the red carpet.
Looking at the length—something I always scrutinize when it comes to Prada’s red-carpet offerings—this one passed the test. And honestly, even if it hadn’t, the gown’s colour, silhouette, and that stunning yellow sapphire stone Cartier necklace would have been more than enough to distract me.
An elegant updo and a swipe of L’Oréal’s Red Carpet lipstick completed the look, proving once again that Elle knows how to balance understated glamour with effortless beauty.
Elle Fanning may not have leaned into the film’s theme, but this look felt like a standout moment regardless.
