Mikey Madison recently made a guest appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote her new movie ‘Anora’, and it wasn’t just her anecdotes about filming in Brooklyn, learning Russian, and pole training for her role that captured attention—it was her head-turning wardrobe choices.

Let’s start with her show-stopping Thierry Mugler Fall/Winter 1998 burgundy velvet dress. I’m blown away by how seamlessly it melded vintage allure with modern sophistication. Originally debuted in black on the runway, this piece featured Mugler’s signature corsetry, structured panels, and a scalloped, winged hemline. The fit? Absolute perfection—it moulded to Mikey’s figure like a glove.
The sheer opera gloves were unnecessary here, but her Tiffany & Co. earrings brought a touch of sparkle that worked beautifully against the rich velvet. However, those neutral shoes didn’t quite work for me. A burgundy match, gold, or even forest green would have been a better option.
Later, she stepped outside with her dog, Jam, in tow, proving that walking your dog can indeed be a high-fashion moment.
Arrival
Speaking of Jam, they made an equally glamorous appearance earlier in the day as Mikey arrived at the studio. She channeled French Riviera chic in a Loewe white Pebble dress from the Pre-Fall 2025 collection. Paired with a colourful scarf tied jauntily around her head, a Loewe Flamenco purse bucket bag, and her effortless cool, this look was a daydream of vacation-ready elegance.
But alas, the Loewe black Toy pumps disrupted the fantasy. They weren’t bad, per se, but they lacked the whimsy and lightness the rest of the outfit demanded. If this was the height of summer, I would have expected a pair of raffia sandals or even espadrilles to seal the Riviera vibe, but of course we are deep into the winter months.
Jam deserves an honourable mention for being the chicest accessory of the day.
