Two days after the Golden Globe Awards, Hollywood’s finest gathered once again for the 2025 National Board of Review Gala. While Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ariana Grande, and Cynthia Erivo stole headlines, there were plenty of other fashion moments.
Madame Morrible elegance with a modern twist
If it has a high neckline, Michelle Yeoh is all in. After stunning at the Globes in a Balenciaga gown, she continued the trend in a Shiatzy Chen Fall 2024 look featuring a mandarin-inspired standing collar. This detail, which nods to her Madame Morrible role, has become as signature to her style as her love for Richard Mille timepieces. However, her shimmering emerald jewels easily stole the spotlight.

Understated, but never unnoticed
Mikey Madison kept her streak of minimalist sophistication alive in an asymmetric black silk satin chiffon gown by Louis Vuitton.

Sheer lace, Coppola style
Sofia Coppola isn’t one who usually opts for sheer lace, but dressed in a black Chanel Spring 2023 shirt and flared skirt, she brought elegance, grace, and a quiet confidence to the evening, effortlessly nailing the trend with her signature panache.

A new look for a new year
Drew Starkey, fresh off his Loewe Spring 2025 campaign, surprised us with a different label and a new vibe. After wearing Loewe exclusively during this ‘Queer’ press tour the actor upheld his usual classic refinement in Loro Piana. His freshly dyed blonde hair added a “new year, new me” energy to the look, completing his transformation with effortless flair.
