Saturday’s W Magazine Annual Best Performances Party at the Chateau Marmont saw a parade of celebrities embracing Alessandro Michele’s whimsical Valentino creations.
A rare No from me
Keira Knightley has long been synonymous with Valentino magic, delivering countless memorable moments in the label. However, this Spring 2025 look left me conflicted. The dress feels like a culmination of too many ideas clashing for attention—a hallmark of Alessandro Michele’s maximalist style. Adding Valentino Garavani FolieFoliage shoes only heightened the visual noise. While Keira’s commitment to Valentino is undeniable, this one missed the mark for me.
Less is more perfection
Kaia Gerber stayed true to her minimalist ethos with a black-and-white strapless dress from Valentino’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection. It’s clean, classic, and effortlessly aligned with her understated style. In this case, simplicity is the ultimate statement.
Understated elegance
Hannah Bagshawe and Eddie Redmayne, known for their coordinated style brilliance, opted for a more subdued take this time around. Wearing looks from Valentino’s Spring 2025 Pavillon Des Folies collection, Eddie revisited the toggle detail stand-collar look he debuted at the 2024 Academy Museum Gala, while Hannah complemented him when it comes to being understated. Styled with Valentino Garavani accessories, their looks felt quietly sophisticated.
