Sabato De Sarno ensured Gucci was a dominant force on the 2025 Golden Globe Awards red carpet, dressing a star-studded lineup of presenters, and nominees.
Redefining Rewearing
Honoured with the Cecil B. DeMille Award, Viola Davis rewore her custom Gucci sequin gown and dramatic matching cape, originally designed for the LACMA Art+Film Gala. Updated with vibrant new colourful embellishments the gown was transformed into a fresh masterpiece. This is how you rewear, reintroduced and reimagined a look for maximum impact. Swarovski jewels completed her look.

Dazzles in Gold
Eiza González was a vision of glamour in a gold sequin Gucci gown featuring an open back and crystal-beaded embellishments. Minimal styling with David Yurman jewelry allowed her beauty to take center stage, creating a show-stopping yet effortless moment.

Underwhelming
Presenter Salma Hayek Pinault opted for a custom Gucci brown sequin gown, which I struggled to get on board with on account of the cady body, as it lacked the drama I hoped for. While the emerald jewelry was striking, her green eye makeup fell flat, leaving me with a familiar feeling when it comes to Salma on the red carpet.
Staying Sharp in Green
Andrew Garfield, a guest presenter, embraced his signature flared silhouette with a custom green wool double-breasted Gucci tuxedo. Styled with David Yurman accessories and a Jaeger-LeCoultre watch, he proved once again that classic tailoring doesn’t have to be boring.
1930s Elegance
Kirsten Dunst wore a custom Gucci gown inspired by 1930s glamour. With a velvet bodice, crystal-adorned open back, and flowing silk cady skirt, this look perfectly balanced vintage allure with modern sophistication. Fred Leighton jewels completed her look.

Classic with a Twist
Kind of Kindness nominee Jesse Plemons chose a custom Gucci brown double-breasted tuxedo, accented with satin details and a silk bow tie tucked under his shirt collar. His commitment to the brown theme, including Gucci Horsebit loafers, gave his classic look a stylish edge.
Radiant in Teal
Cara Delevingne turned heads in a teal sequin Gucci halter neck gown with hand-beaded crystal straps and an open back. This luminous design was as striking as Eiza González’s gold moment. De Beers jewels completed her look.
Tonal Gucci
Squid Game actor and Global Brand Ambassador Lee Jung-jae chose a tonal Gucci look, effortlessly showcasing the brand’s minimalist side while maintaining his refined charm.
