We’ve seen a resurgence of corduroy lately, thanks to Timothée Chalamet, Joe Alwyn, and Benedict Cumberbatch championing the trend. While I’m eager to see its evolution, just as the academic connotations were starting to fade, they crept back into my consciousness when I saw Leo Woodall in this custom Loewe suit. It’s the trousers for me—they are oversized and swallow him up a bit.
LWD Season is Almost Here
Nico Parker, Thandiwe Newton’s daughter and a Chanel ambassador, who stars in the film alongside Renée and Leo, gave us a reminder that little white dress season is just around the corner. Her frilly and pleated white satin dress from Chanel’s Pre-Fall 2025 collection was fresh, feminine, and elegant. Chanel Fine Jewelry and the black Chanel shoes we saw on the runway completed her delicate look.
Red Hot and Radiant
Isla Fisher joined her co-stars and looked stunning in a Marmar Halim red crepe bodycon gown from the Resort 2025 collection. The phrase “simple yet effective” was made for moments like this. The bold red hue complemented her signature red locks beautifully, and her gold accessories elevated the entire look.
Outerwear Obsession: The Bomber Reimagined
Singer-songwriter Beverley Knight isn’t in the film, but she certainly stole my attention. I’ve been obsessing over this Palmer//Harding Encompass bomber jacket from the Fall 2024 collection for some time—it’s a masterclass in reimagining a staple. The oversized gathered sleeves add a contemporary twist to a classic piece. The deep green knit Plenitude skirt, brown corset, and brown boots kept the look cohesive, though I would’ve styled this look with a darker brown boot. While most of the other attendees dressed for an entirely different season, this outfit was perfect for a chilly January night.
