We are just five days into the new year, and Nicole Kidman has already given us the “looking back” picture for my end-of-the-year honours at the 2025 Golden Globe Awards.
The Australian actress, nominated for Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Motion Picture – Drama for Babygirl, left me in awe with her stunning Balenciaga Haute Couture gown, delivering her usual brand of glamour with a refreshing twist.
What really struck me was the departure from the usual black and column silhouettes that have come to define her relationship with the brand. This gown, with its sensual open back, offered something different. The drapery was absolutely spine-tingling, without a single crease in sight (sorry, Loewe).
We’ve set our standards high for Nicole because we know she always delivers—and this moment was no exception. The retro-inspired bouffant was the perfect touch to elevate this look, rising to the challenge with elegance.
Adding to the perfection were the Maison Boucheron Pierre de Paris High Jewelry earrings in white gold, featuring diamonds and pendant tanzanites, paired with the Vendôme Liserè High Jewelry Ring, set with a 4.10 carat central diamond paved with diamonds, all in white gold with black lacquer. This was a true standout moment to kick off the year.
