Nicole Kidman Wore Loewe To The 2025 Palm Springs International Film Awards

One of my favourite sayings is, “start as you mean to go on,” and if this custom Loewe look is how Nicole Kidman is starting her awards season at the 2025 Palm Springs International Film Awards, then we’re in for something special. If her upcoming looks are anything close to being on par with Carey Mulligan’s 2024 awards season, I’d say we’re in for a treat.

Yes, let’s not pretend we can’t see those creases on the petrol blue satin skirt. They’re there, front and center. But, in this case, I’m shamelessly choosing to view them as intentional—like a ruched, rippled, crinkled effect designed to add texture to the skirt. If you squint, they almost feel purposeful. Almost.

I have a feeling many of you will be less forgiving.

For me, it’s easy to overlook the creases because I’m utterly captivated by the bodice. The lustrous Mother of Pearl shell-accented sculptural design, arranged to resemble feathers, is nothing short of breathtaking. It aligns perfectly with the Loewe Spring 2025 menswear collection, where it was first seen on look 10 as a sleeveless top.

Nicole elevated the look with MESSIKA Pearl Appeal High Jewelry earrings and the Divine Enigma ring, proving once again that she knows how to deliver memorable red-carpet moments as she accepted the International Star Award.
