Summertime in Melbourne means two things: tennis fever and a city buzzing with star power. And this weekend, the Australian Open served up not only thrilling matches but also a masterclass in the seamless blend of sports, fashion, and celebrity.
While Lewis Hamilton was busy making headlines in Ferragamo as Ferrari’s latest driver last week, tennis superstar Jannik Sinner made his own style statement.
The two-time Australian Open Grand Slam champion walked onto the court carrying a custom duffle bag—a collaboration between HEAD and Gucci, befitting his status as a Gucci Global Brand Ambassador.

But before Jannik could claim the Norman Brookes Challenge Cup, the trophy made its own dazzling entrance. Transported in a Louis Vuitton Trophy Trunk, handcrafted by the Maison’s skilled artisans in Asnières, this luxurious vessel has been the Grand Slam’s prized accessory from day one.

As if that wasn’t enough fashion for one afternoon, Phoebe Dynevor added her own stylish ace to the mix. Currently promoting her film Inheritance, Phoebe joined tennis legend John Newcombe to present the trophy in a tenniscore-inspired Louis Vuitton look. Her cream short-sleeved dress, adorned with gold buttons, was sporty yet sophisticated—a perfect nod to the occasion.
White Louis Vuitton Shake slingback pumps and Le Damier de Louis Vuitton jewelry elevated her ensemble to courtside-chic perfection. Whether or not she’s a tennis fan, Phoebe looked every inch the polished fashion ambassador we’d want courtside.
Fashion may not win Grand Slams, but it certainly played a starring role this weekend in Melbourne.
