Taylor Russell & Drew Starkey for Loewe Spring 2025

Crinoline dresses hanging like ethereal spirits from poles, mist weaving through a forest, and figures clutching branches or resting in grassy solitude—Loewe’s Spring/Summer 2025 campaign by David Sims is nothing short of a poetic ode to nature.

Set in the breathtaking countryside of Tavertet, Catalonia, the campaign explores the profound relationship between body and landscape, gesture and nature, all while celebrating a decade of Jonathan Anderson’s tenure with the brand.

Anderson’s return to Loewe’s Spanish roots is both geographical and spiritual. The campaign revives the primal connection to the natural world that characterized his early years, with painterly hues and raw textures that feel almost pagan in their reverence. From earthy leathers to diaphanous feathers, and floral-sequined shoes to trapeze silhouettes, the Spring/Summer 2025 collection radiates a tactile sensibility that’s perfectly at home in the Spanish countryside.

Taylor Russell and Drew Starkey embody this dialogue between fashion and nature with arresting intensity. Taylor leans against a tree, barefoot, her sequined dress shimmering against bark and foliage, while Drew sits amidst leaves.

The accessories—the Madrid bag, Featherlight Puzzle, and Flamenco Purse—merge with the environment, suspended from branches or laid on the forest floor, as if naturally occurring artifacts.

By grounding haute couture in elemental surroundings, LOEWE transcends the urban confines of fashion. This campaign reminds us that human presence, much like fashion itself, is an intrinsic part of nature’s greater narrative.
