When a Chanel ambassador embarks on a press tour, you expect consistency, elegance, and maybe a tweed suit or two. But for French-Romanian actress Anamaria Vartolomei, promoting Mickey 17, it seems the theme isn’t just Chanel—it’s marabou. Feathers, to be precise. Lots of them.
London Premiere
I have to admit, I was intrigued by the marabou feathers perched on the shoulders of her pale green Chanel Spring 2025 Haute Couture skirt suit. But the more I looked, the more it seemed like she had strapped on a fluffy feathery backpack, and now I can’t unsee it. The piping detail only adds to this illusion, making the whole look feel a little off-kilter. And then there’s the black belt—I wish she had removed it because it feels unnecessary, even when you factor in the Chanel black pumps. Unfortunately, I can’t say I’m entirely sold on this one.

Berlin Premiere
Are we sensing a theme here? And no, I’m not talking about her unwavering commitment to black pumps. The feathers are back, this time bringing a touch of vintage glamour to her Chanel Pre-Fall 2025 light green silk charmeuse blouson and matching skirt. The fluidity of the fabric adds a softness that works well with the dramatic feathered detailing, making this feel a little more intentional. Chanel Fine Jewelry completed her look.
I have a feeling that the marabou might divide opinions, but at least for the Berlin premiere, I can appreciate the attempt at old-school glamour.
