Anya Taylor-Joy didn’t just bless us with that stunning McQueen coat in New York City—oh no, she turned her The Gorge press tour into a full-on fashion extravaganza, serving up four more looks in one morning. And naturally, she delivered with her signature blend of vintage glamour and modern edge.
The Today Show
First up, a black-and-white Celine Prince of Wales check jacket and matching mini skirt, styled with Celine’s Clementine patent leather boots. The look hints at fall with its textures but ignores the season entirely when it comes to length. And honestly? I love that. The contrast between the structured jacket and playful mini keeps things fresh, and the overall energy is just so Anya.

Now, I would’ve said the previous look had ‘60s undertones… until I saw her second Celine ensemble, which fully leaned fully into the era. With white knee-high boots, a cropped jacket, and a matching mini skirt with white trim, it was Twiggy meets modern-day It-girl. I’m also sensing a bit of a mini skirt streak here.

The Drew Barrymore Show
This is where things get interesting. I know many of you have strong feelings about biker shorts, and I can already hear the collective sighs. But Anya attempted to ease us into the look with a black skirt overlay and a brown leather Loewe trapeze jacket. Does it work? That depends on how much you fear biker shorts. Personally, I intrigued by the unconventional layering—it feels unexpected, which is exactly what I want from Anya.

Watch What Happens Live
And finally, we have my absolute favourite. At first glance, Anya stepped out in a luxurious Celine wool cape, looking like she was about to take a perfectly cinematic stroll through Manhattan. But then…

…bam—a gust of wind reveals the surprise underneath: a Celine cabochon-embroidered collared top and culotte shorts. Suddenly, the practical becomes impractical, but let’s be honest—when it comes to Anya, there are no fashion rules, just vibes. And she rocked this hard.
Five total looks, fave distinct moods, and not a single miss. If this is how Anya’s promoting The Gorge, I can’t wait to see what she brings to the actual red carpet.
