With the 78th annual British Academy Film Awards just around the corner, Carolina Cucinelli, Co-President and Co-Creative Director of Brunello Cucinelli, along with her husband Alessio Piastrelli, Men’s Creative Director, hosted an intimate dinner at the Chiltern Firehouse on Thursday. The occasion? To show their appreciation for the British film industry – and to remind us all that Italian craftsmanship and British charm go hand in hand.
From velvet suiting to sleek tailoring, the night was a sartorial feast.
A comeback masterclass
Now this is more like it. We gave Regé-Jean Page 48 hours to respond to his rare red carpet blip, and he delivered in fine style, reminding us why we hold him in such high esteem to begin with. The British stepped out in a Brunello Cucinelli brown velvet suit with the rich texture, paired with a maroon and plum striped tie and brown boots, hitting every note of dapper sophistication. Regé knows the way to my heart, and this look is proof he’s still got it.

Tailoring in Tandem
Henry Golding also went for brown tailoring, clearly operating on the same style wavelength as Regé. His paisley tie added a playful touch to the otherwise classic Brunello Cucinelli ensemble.

Déjà vu Silhouette
While the men were bringing their A-game, Vanessa Kirby was impossible to miss in her embellished two-piece Brunello Cucinelli look. Her signature silhouette was on full display – sleek, simple, yet dripping with cool-girl elegance. I know some of you are hoping for more experimentation during her upcoming Fantastic Four press tour now that she’s working with Andrew Mukamal, but don’t be surprised if next look is a classic case of, “if it ain’t broke…don’t fix it.”

Retro with a Twist
Phil Dunster leaned into vintage vibes with his navy striped double-breasted Brunello Cucinelli suit. With echoes of 1920s and 1930s menswear, the subtle stripes added a timeless charm that felt effortlessly cool.

Spring Forward
Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù’s ivory striped Brunello Cucinelli suit had me dreaming of warmer days. Light, breezy, and effortlessly stylish, this was a subtle reminder that spring is right around the corner.

British Gentleman Chic
Sam Claflin may have been dressed in an Italian label, but he delivered quintessentially British elegance in his ivory suit. Understated, refined, and undeniably charming.

Borrowed from the Boys
Thomasin McKenzie kept it sharp in a charcoal Brunello Cucinelli suit. Menswear-inspired tailoring has been a red carpet staple lately, but Thomasin gave it a fresh spin with her effortless ease.
