Here is a roundup from the other notable attendees from the 2025 BAFTAs, which took place on Sunday in London. From high drama to unexpected twists, these stars didn’t come to play.
A classic Westwood corset moment
A BAFTAs without a Vivienne Westwood sighting would have been sacrilegious, so I was delighted to see Annabelle Wallis on the red carpet wearing this shimmering gunmetal grey off-the-shoulder signature corset dress. This is everything I want from a Westwood moment: sultry, structured, and dripping with attitude.

The art of Armani Couture
Felicity Jones, who was nominated Best Supporting Actress for her role in The Brutalist, wore a custom Armani Privé black velvet gown elevated by a sculptural peplum with a contrasting white underlay, stamping this look with Haute Couture mastery. The structure, the contrast, the elegance—chef’s kiss. Roger Vivier Efflorescence pumps and Chaumet jewels completed her look.

Chic simplicity
Fernanda Torres opted for a simple and minimalist black silk crepe dress from Dior styled with a black leather belt and Fernando Jorge jewels. Understated? Yes. Forgettable? Possibly.

Déjà vu from Louis Vuitton
Of the five Louis Vuitton looks on this red carpet, only Saoirse Ronan and Stacy Martin worked for me. My issue with Florence Hunt’s grey V-neck spaghetti strap silk shiny mousseline cut-out gown is that I feel like I’ve seen this design many times before, from Maria Lucia Hohan.

Gothic queen energy
Gwendoline Christie channelled her inner neo-goth queen wearing a custom Giles Deacon, amplifying the drama with her wispy, quad-length hair. Extra, theatrical, and so on-brand for her.

Sparkle & Joy
Hannah Dodd added Chopard jewels to her Simone Rocha look, which was already dazzling with crystal embellishments. This felt playful and fun—exactly what I’d expect from Simone Rocha.

Print clash done right
Isabella Rossellini continued to brighten up the awards season red carpet in her Dolce & Gabbana silk floral print dress with contrasting leopard print cuffs. It won’t be to everyone’s taste, but I love that she is never boring and never plays it safe. A pink silk satin Dolce & Gabbana Marlene bag and a selection of fine jewels completed her look.

From the Hamptons to haute couture
If you thought we had seen the back of Robert Wun’s delightful pleats, Kelly Rutherford gave them a new lease of life in this multi-fan-pleated design featuring an ab-baring cut-out. It’s so far away from her usual Hamptons-prim style that I barely recognised her, but she totally pulled this off. Chaumet jewellery completed her look.

Caped Couture
Letitia Wright, who presented the EE Rising Star Award to Mikey Madison, was, of course, dressed in Prada. I’m glad she turned to the side so we could get a look at the most interesting detail of her amaranth-coloured silk gabardine dress: the graphic cape, embellished with embroidery on the inner lining in black duchesse sequins.

Awards season perfection
Marisa Abela continues to have an amazing awards season, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana black fully-beaded long column dress styled with Cartier High Jewellery platinum and ruby diamond necklace. Simple, sleek, and stunning.

Old-fashioned or vintage charm?
I struggled to get on board with Mimi Keene’s Dior Resort 2025 embroidered beige and blue lace dress. The fabric felt terribly old-fashioned for me, veering more into mothballs than modern.

Chanel goes 1920s
Nico Parker channelled a 1920s aesthetic in her embellished Chanel Fall 2024 Haute Couture chiffon dress styled with finger waves and Manolo Blahnik BB pumps. I’m living for the vintage glamour vibes.

Miu Miu magic
Raffey Cassidy was one of the many highlights on this red carpet for me in a cream Miu Miu dress. The simplicity of the design, amplified with contrasting burgundy and silver crystal embroidery, stood out in a sea of dark hues. Garrard jewels completed her look.

Understated elegance
Vanessa Kirby kept things predictably simple in this Celine Couture dress with voluminous sleeves styled with Manolo Blahnik Leva pumps. The Cartier High Jewellery earrings, 18k white gold, onyx, and diamonds added just the right amount of sparkle.

All hail the queen of glamour
Vanessa Williams gave us old-school glamour in Pamella Roland’s Fall 2025 olive crepe gown with a silk organza bodice and braided chain belt styled with Bvlgari jewels. She always brings that star quality, and this was no exception.
