The house of Chanel dressed two of their ambassadors for the 2025 Grammy Awards, and it seems the theme of the night was buttery elegance.
Little Butter Riding Hood
Gracie Abrams, nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her song US, embraced the theme in a custom Chanel butter chiffon dress with a chiffon hood, embellished with satin camellias and jeweled buttons. It’s giving Little Butter Riding Hood, and honestly, I’m here for it.

The soft hue didn’t wash her out (which can be a risk with pale tones), and the black velvet belt saved the look from feeling too one-note.
At first, I wished the dress had been floor-length, but perhaps that was a conscious choice to avoid veering into bridal territory.

She completed the look with black Chanel pumps and Chanel High Jewelry, including the Signature de Perles earrings.

Another Archival Pull
The Substance star Margaret Qualley reached into the Chanel archives for her Pre-Fall 2014 embroidered ivory pleated dress. Since archival looks typically remain untouched, I assume no modifications were made—but I really wish the bodice had been a bit more flattering. It appears quite loose and baggy, though perhaps that was intentional. We may never know, as the dress was layered when Karl Lagerfeld originally sent it down the runway.

Margaret accessorized with Chanel High Jewelry, including the Cosmos earrings, and was accompanied by her husband, Jack Antonoff, who had a major night himself, having co-written two of this year’s Song of the Year nominees: Fortnight and Please Please Please.
