Demi Moore Wore Dior To The 2025 DGA Awards

Demi Moore took on presenter duties at the 2025 Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, where she handed RaMell Ross the Michael Apted Award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in First-Time Theatrical Feature Film for Nickel Boys.

The actress wore a Dior Spring 2018 Haute Couture pale blue tulle embroidered gown, and while there’s no denying its beauty, it’s my least favourite look from her this awards season.

I’m not nitpicking because the dress is sheer. That’s not the issue. The problem is that this feels very underhwhelming compared to the sleek, modern, and often unexpected looks she’s been serving since her reign as the godmother of Cannes last May.

There’s also something about the embroidery that reminds me of hundreds of tiny googly eyes staring back at me.

Messika jewels added a touch of sparkle, but ultimately, this look lacked the wow factor I’ve come to expect from her.

Thanks to Chris94 who shared that the reason this gown was selected, is because it is inspired by the eye multiplying scene in The Substance. I love the connection, but it still freaks me out.
