Emma Mackey joined her Hot Milk co-star Vicky Krieps on the red carpet for the Berlin Film Festival premiere on Friday.
While Vicky was channelling menswear chic, Emma took the opposite route, opting for a custom Louis Vuitton white technical gabardine dress.
I was about to say this was a rare minimalist moment from Louis Vuitton, but with Saoirse Ronan’s IFTA Award look, Zendaya’s Gotham Awards look, and Hannah Einbinder’s Golden Globes look still fresh in my mind, it’s clear that the brand is embracing the minimalist era. And honestly? I’m here for it. Even as a proud maximalist, I’m loving this new sense of balance from the house that usually lives for embellishments and experimental silhouettes.
What I particularly appreciate about Emma’s gown is how the gold chain detailing on the shoulders stops the look from falling flat. It’s a subtle yet effective accent that elevates the simplicity of the design and gives it a touch of edge without breaking the minimalist spell.
Overall, this is a beautiful example of how less can truly be more—especially when Louis Vuitton is steering the ship.
