Emma Stone Wore Emilia Wickstead o The 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards

Emma Stone has been serving a strong red carpet season so far—just look at her two red-hot Louis Vuitton moments at the Golden Globes and SNL:50. So naturally, I had high hopes for her appearance at the 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards, where she attended as the executive producer of A Real Pain, which won Best Screenplay.

She swapped Louis Vuitton for a bespoke Emilia Wickstead design, but if your first thought was Prada, you’re not alone. The top half, with its embellished details, is giving serious Prada energy. Unfortunately, the bottom half didn’t carry the same level of intrigue.

I wanted to love this look. It has a playful feel that aligns perfectly with both this event’s laid-back nature and Emma’s fresh new haircut. But when I take it all in, it feels…forgettable. After such a strong start to the season, this just doesn’t live up to her momentum. The look loses steam from the waist down, leaving it feeling somewhat underwhelming.

She did, however, add a touch of sparkle with Irene Neuwirth jewels, including One of a Kind gem drop green tourmaline jeweled huggies. A lovely choice, but not enough to elevate the overall impact.

For me, this was a missed opportunity by Emilia Wickstead.
