If there’s one thing Lady Gaga will always do, it’s committed. And for the 2025 Grammy Awards—where she’s set to perform a special tribute to Los Angeles with Bruno Mars following the devastating wildfires—she delivered a look as dramatic as the moment required.
Embracing her gothic era, Gaga stepped out in an intricately laced Samuel Lewis leather jacket featuring puffed Victorian sleeves, paired with a full ball skirt that exuded a balance of theatricality and authenticity. This wasn’t Gaga playing dress-up—this was her slipping into a mode that feels natural, even as she reinvents herself once again.
What sold this look to me? She wasn’t trying too hard. Even with the no eyebrows, blunt bangs, and long black wig, it felt effortless—like a chapter she’s been waiting to write. And honestly? The commitment works.
Then there were the jewels. Because, of course, Gaga doesn’t just do gothic without a touch of opulence. She adorned herself with Tiffany & Co. Meta Overbeck pieces, designed under the direction of Louis Comfort Tiffany for the Tiffany & Co. Archives—a history-making choice in itself. The yellow gold and platinum earrings, diamond necklace, and Jean Schlumberger Sixteen Stone ring added the perfect contrast of delicate decadence to the structured drama of her look.
This was Gaga at her best—bold, mysterious, and owning every inch of the aesthetic. If this is her new era, I am absolutely here for it.
