Liv Tyler Wore Stella McCartney To The ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ LA Premiere

Don’t refresh your screen—you haven’t accidentally landed on a page from 2011. But seeing Liv Tyler on the red carpet for the world premiere of Captain America: Brave New World at TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood is definitely bringing back some serious nostalgia.

And that’s all thanks to her Stella McCartney Miracle dress, a design that has been recreated in countless variations over the years—colour-blocked, lace-panelled, sheer-panelled. And here we are with the polka-dot-panelled version making its way back onto the red carpet.

When you think of this sculpted panel dress, Kate Winslet immediately comes to mind as she practically made the illusion dress her signature.

Now, you might be surprised to learn that, 13 years on, Stella McCartney is still selling this dress. But what wouldn’t surprise me is if Liv picked this piece straight from her own closet. If you’ve been following this site for a while, you’ll remember that Liv was part of the “Stella’s Angels” crew alongside Kate Hudson and Kate Bosworth at the 2009 and 2010 Met Galas. Plus, this certainly isn’t her first rodeo with Stella’s panelled creations.

And considering Stella’s dedication to sustainability, if this is from her closet, I’m sure the designer will be very proud.
