The 2025 AACTA Awards took place today at the Home of the Arts on the Gold Coast, celebrating the best in Australian film and television from the past year, with Sophie Wilde stealing the spotlight on the red carpet.
Despite her relatively short career, Sophie has already formed a strong bond with Loewe, consistently embodying the brand’s art of individuality. And for this occasion, she dipped into the archives, opting for a dress from Loewe’s Spring 2020 collection.
Now, if this dress looks familiar, it’s because Aubrey Plaza wore a custom black version to the Agatha All Along LA premiere back in September. And, well… we weren’t fans. The skin-tone lining on Aubrey’s dress dulled its experimental edge, making it feel more beige than bold.
But Sophie’s take? The fabric choice alone makes all the difference, allowing the sculptural details to shine. And then there’s the styling—white over-the-knee boots? Genius. They inject a dose of cool-girl energy, keeping the look fresh, modern, and far more impactful than the previous iteration.
