With Yellowjackets season 3 finally here—kicking off with a double-episode premiere on Paramount+ with Showtime today—the cast took to the red carpet on Thursday at the DGA Theater in California. And much like the show itself, the fashion choices were unpredictable, with varying degrees of success. From avant-garde couture to gothic glamour, here’s a breakdown of who nailed it and who left us buzzing for the wrong reasons.
Why blend in when you can float above the crowd?
There was no missing Jasmin Savoy Brown, who brought the drama in a Viktor & Rolf Fall 2022 Haute Couture look that defied gravity. The radically tailored masculine jacket and shirt appeared to hover around her body, creating an ethereal floating effect. While some might argue this was a little OTT for a cast ensemble event, I say go big or go home. It was easily one of the most interesting and bold looks on the red carpet.

Survival, but make it fashion
Considering Sophie Thatcher is promoting a psychological survival drama, the shredded details on the skirt of her Coperni Spring 2025 black dress felt eerily on-theme. The deconstructed hem gave off an effortlessly edgy vibe, as if she just emerged from the wilderness—and looked stunning doing it.

The seashells didn’t quite make it to shore
I’m usually a big fan of Christina Ricci’s bold style choices, but this Mônot Spring 2022 dress left me puzzled. The dress with the seashell-shaped bodice doesn’t really feel like her style. Which is a shame because she usually commands attention on the red carpet. Martin Katz jewels completed her look.

Classic Elegance
Courtney Eaton opted for classic elegance in a Richard Quinn Fall 2024 black velvet and white satin gown. The craftsmanship was undeniable with the high neckline and structured silhouette all wrapped up with a bow.

A modern-day duchess moment
Jenna Burgess stepped into her regency era with a Louise New York burgundy gown—a label known for its romantic, Old World aesthetic. The rich hue and silhouette gave her a regal air, and while the look wasn’t particularly groundbreaking, it was undeniably beautiful.

Classic Checks with a Teal Twist
Liv Hewson wasn’t just as daring as their co-stars, opting for understated sophistication in a three-piece Prince of Wales check suit. The timeless pattern was given a playful twist with the addition of a teal ascot, adding a subtle pop of colour.

Gothic glam, with a side of déjà vu
Sammi Hanratty served gothic glamour in the same chiffon and lace off-the-shoulder gown recently seen on Rachel Sennott. While the origins of this mystery dress remain elusive, the moody, romantic vibe was pitch-perfect for the dark, psychological undercurrents of the series.

Dare to bare
Sara Desjardins ensured she wouldn’t go unnoticed, stepping out in a sheer white gown.

Hypnotic in emerald
Silvana Estifanos was absolutely gorgeous in a green embroidered dress that had a hypnotic effect under the lights. The rich shade complemented her complexion beautifully, and the intricate detailing gave the dress a luxurious finish.

Frayed but fabulous
Sophie Nélisse brought a fiery finish to the event in an Isabel Marant Ormany frayed off-the-shoulder bouclé maxi dress. The textured red gown had an effortless, undone quality that gave her an understated yet striking presence on the carpet.
