Two-time host Dakota Johnson hit the SNL50: The Anniversary Special red carpet at 30 Rockefeller Center on Sunday night.
The Madame Webb actress slipped into a Gucci black one-shoulder velvet gown that, from the front, felt… let’s say, understated. Chic, yes. Classic, of course.

Then came the side angle—bam! A hip-high cut-out accented with Gucci’s signature metal Horsebit hardware brought the drama that I personally crave from Dakota. It’s sultry, and not entirely unexpected, as Dakota has never been one to shy away from a little risqué detailing, and this number serves up just the right amount of edge.
Some will feel that it’s too much, or too high, but this is that the 360° camera shots were made for.
On this red carpet Dakota sure did know her angles—front, back, and the side.
