Following the premiere of Seven Veils last week, Amanda Seyfried was back on the red carpet last night for Peacock’s Long Bright River premiere in New York.
No, Christmas hasn’t come early—but you’d be forgiven for thinking so as Amanda stepped onto the red carpet shimmering like a festive dream in a Marc Jacobs v-neck mini dress, drenched in textural gold sequins with a striking 3D effect. The label’s signature black daisy brooch added a bold contrast, preventing the look from veering into holiday ornament territory.
What I love about this dress is its balance between retro and contemporary. The doll-inspired silhouette, with exaggerated sleeves and a cinched waist, gives it a fun, theatrical edge, but it doesn’t tip over into costume-y. That said, I wouldn’t be surprised if some found the proportions a little dramatic.
For me, this look is a win—it’s playful, high-shine, and bursting with personality.
Does anyone wish she had worn those Marc Jacobs gold platform shoes?
