I know some of you still aren’t on board with Ariana DeBose’s new haircut, but the actress delivered yet another strong fashion moment at The Picture of Dorian Gray opening night in New York City. As she continues her love affair with Broadway, she’s also continues her love affair with androgynous dressing.
For the occasion, Ariana opted for a Huishan Zhang Fall 2025 pinstriped suit, a look that perfectly balances masculine structure with just the right touch of feminine refinement. Zhang is renowned for his elegant, feminine contemporary designs, but this season, he took on traditional tailoring and made it his own. And naturally, he couldn’t resist a touch of shimmer, with the silver-striped threadwork subtly elevating the suit and adding dimension.
Now, I know many of you weren’t thrilled with her Monse suit or its overall styling at the Buena Vista Social Club opening night, but this look feels more polished. The softer makeup, the effortlessly undone white shirt, and the addition of an OMEGA timepiece all amplify the suit’s androgynous appeal without making it feel too fussy.
Ariana is proving that she’s more than comfortable in this new chapter of her style evolution, and personally, I’m here for it.
