Considering Ariana DeBose’s deep-rooted connection to Broadway—from Hamilton to West Side Story and her Tony-winning accolades—it’s no surprise that she continues to champion the theater world. On Wednesday, she showed her support once again, attending the opening night of Buena Vista Social Club at The Schoenfeld Theatre.
Ariana stepped out in a Monse striped suit that had just debuted last month on the Fall 2025 runway. As we all know, Monse’s signature tailoring isn’t just about structure—it’s about deconstruction, asymmetry, and an unexpected approach to classic silhouettes. And this suit? A prime example, complete with a draped layer under the blazer that adds a unique dimension to the look.
Personally, I love how Monse continues to breathe new life into tailoring with a fresh, youthful energy. But the real question is: Did Ariana sell this look? For me, the answer is yes. The confidence is there, the styling is effortless, and she didn’t try to overplay the zipper accents, which could have easily made the look feel too fussy.
And let’s not forget the glasses—because they could have been a dealbreaker. But that subtle purple tint matching her lipstick? That’s the kind of thoughtful coordination I live for. It’s a bold choice, but one Ariana pulled off with ease.
