The Billboard Women in Music event is always a night of glitz, glamour, and a few eyebrow-raising fashion moments. From sultry gowns to daring avant-garde looks, the stars brought their A-game (for better or worse) to the YouTube Theater in LA on Saturday. We’ve seen Doechii, Suki Waterhouse, Jennie Kim, Victoria Justice, Tyla and host Laverne Cox, here is a look at who else was in attendance.
Trash Bag Couture
While I respect sustainability, am I the only one feeling like Tinashe’s Wiederhoeft Spring 2025 bronze dress is just a glorified trash bag with some lace and a bow to sell it as a dress? Fashion risk? Sure. But sometimes risks don’t pay off.

The Legs Have It
Coperni reimagined the classic trench as a bodysuit for Fall 2024, and honestly? Ari Lennox was the perfect muse for it. The piece alone is already bold, but add those legs, and we’re in business.

Understated Zuhair Murad
Becky G delivered a more refined take on Zuhair Murad in a Pre-Fall 2025 white gown with a corset bodice and silver details. Some may crave Murad’s usual high-glam theatrics, but this balance of simplicity and sophistication worked beautifully.

Organized Chaos?
Bella Poarch’s Monse Spring 2025 layered ensemble looked like it was thrown together last minute, but somehow, it worked—even with those unexpected pale peach opera gloves.

Chanel, but Make It Gloomy
Gracie Abrams performed her viral hit I Love You, I’m Sorry before accepting the Songwriter of the Year award, and while I adore Chanel, this look needed life. We get it—moody and solemn is a vibe (see: Rooney Mara), but this was borderline depressing.

A Ray of Sunshine
Thankfully, Julia Michaels followed up with some much-needed serotonin in a Pamella Roland Spring 2025 yellow midi dress. Twee? Some may think so. But I loved it, especially with the embroidered gold lyric details, which felt fitting for a songwriter. Her matching yellow accessories tied it all together beautifully.

Sculptural Elegance
Madison Bailey proved the power of a perfect silhouette in a ruby Raisa Vanessa gown with dramatic draping falling from the floral embellishments. A statuesque vision.

Romantic Florals with an Edge
Megan Moroney, who picked up the Rulebreaker Award, wore a Kamilla Purshie design with delicate yet bold 3D floral details. Feminine, romantic, and a solid red carpet choice.

60s Mod Revival
If ’60s mod was Meg Donnelly’s goal, she nailed it. Her Rachel Gilbert Lucinda lime green mini dress, complete with flicked-out hair and matching platforms, was a playful throwback done right.

Party from the front and back
Accepting the Hitmaker Award, Meghan Trainor stepped out of her comfort zone in a custom Sami Miro look, layering vintage influences with modern textures. The sheer elements were unexpected for her, but she owned it. And if you liked it from the front? Your mind might change when you see it from the back.

Dripping in Schiaparelli Drama
Muni Long stunned while performing Superpowers and accepting the Rising Star Award in a Schiaparelli Fall 2024 black halter gown. Dramatic gold earrings and statement gold nails amplified the iconic Schiaparelli aesthetic.

Chaos
There’s a lot happening here, and I don’t just mean Summer Walker’s Walter Mendez Atelier gown. The styling? The accessories? My head hurts just looking at this.

Hair as a Train?
Country-pop star Tanner Adell was a guest presenter, but the real star was her Erik Charlotte corset look. Known for layering and gathered fabrics, the design wasn’t even the most surprising part—it was her platinum blonde hair, which trailed on the floor like a train.

Mother was Mothering
Receiving the Mother of the Year Award, Tina Knowles dazzled in a Yanina Couture Fall 2023 velvet gown with illusion panels. From the front? Stunning. From the back? That red flower on the sheer panel was an unnecessary distraction.

Rock & Roll Glam
Victoria Monét brought her signature sensuality in a LaQuan Smith Fall 2025 ensemble, serving both sultry and edgy rockstar vibes. Exactly what you’d expect from a LaQuan Smith girl.
Whether they slayed or left us confused, these stars made sure we had plenty to talk about.
