The BRIT Awards may have happened the night before the Oscars, but great fashion deserves its moment in the spotlight—no matter how fashionably late we are. From bold, theatrical statements to edgy, pop-star-approved ensembles, here’s a rundown of the most notable looks from the night.
She’s Miss Americana and The BRITs are her playground
From the Grammys to the BRITs, 2024 truly belonged to Sabrina Carpenter. The pop sensation was celebrated at this event wearing a McQueen custom pink gown with silver embellishments, inspired by the Spring 2025 2025 runway. Between the dramatic extended length and the cinched waist corset, this was a look made for a reigning pop queen. Bvlgari jewels provided the finishing touch, ensuring that Sabrina sparkled just as much as her star power.

A style transformation worthy of its own award
I have to say, I’m loving this new energy from Naomie Harris, and she picked the perfect event to showcase it. If you’re not going to rock a chocolate brown mini Robert Wun’s Spring 2024 Couture dress with a matching shawl to The BRIT Awards, then where? Having worn her hair in braids for some time, she surprised us all with a new hairstyle, adding to the fresh, modern feel of this entire look. A total 180 from her usual style, and I am here for it. Gedebe embellished pumps completed her look.

A little medieval, a little ’90s, a lot of drama
Millie Bobby Brown continued her love affair with Annie’s Ibiza dresses. But because Millie is fully committed to theatrics, she went all in with the matching hooded cape. I can’t say I’m shocked—her recent style choices have been pushing her into new direction, and this one reads Katniss Everdeen-meets-Joan of Arc. Does the hood make the look stronger? Not necessarily. Would it have been better without it? Probably. But if there’s anywhere to go full drama, it’s the BRITs.

Denim, but make it bridal
Denim and bridalwear aren’t usually concepts that go hand in hand, but Jade Thirlwall was determined to prove otherwise in her Diesel denim gown. It wasn’t really the floral appliqués along the shoulders and neckline that had this look heading down the bridal path. It was the denim floral bouquets. Was it necessary? No. Did it add to the theatricality of the whole thing? Absolutely. If you can’t have a little fun with fashion at a music event, then what’s the point?

Gothic glamour reigns supreme
Charli XCX used to be a pop princess, but her recent fashion evolution has taken her into moodier, gothic territory. This sheer, hooded dress from Dilara Fındıkoğlu’s Fall 2025 collection left very little to the imagination, but let’s be real—subtlety has never been her brand. Some might roll their eyes at yet another sheer dress on the red carpet, but the level of detail in this design (which included faux underwear), combined with Charli’s attitude, made it work for me. The BRITs are made for bold choices, and this was right on theme. Christian Louboutin So Kate pumps and Hearts On Fire Jewelry completed her look.

An unexpected twist from the king of eccentric suiting
Jared Leto, who hosted The BRIT Awards in 2023, has yet to wear a look from Alessandro Michele’s Valentino collections—something I find intriguing considering how closely aligned the two were during Michele’s Gucci era. However, for this event, the House of Gucci actor spread his creative fashion wings, opting for a suit from Denzil Patrick’s Fall 2025 collection. Featuring cropped trousers that showed off the spats worn over his black boots, the look mixed Edwardian elegance with modern, offbeat charm. A true Leto-ism if there ever was one.

Still In his quiet era
If ever there was an event for Lucien Laviscount to revisit his once flamboyant style, it was The BRITs. However, he opted to continue his new normal style, wearing a white Dolce & Gabbana suit, which was unfortunately paired with black shoes.
