Anna Sawai attends the "Le Grand Diner du Louvre" Passage Richelieu Photocall

Le Grand Dîner Du Louvre is one of those events where fashion, art, and history collide in the most extravagant way possible. With the grandeur of the Musée du Louvre as the backdrop, the evening calls for nothing less than regal elegance which Maria Grazia Chiuri provided in Dior.

Stepping straight from award season glory Into The Louvre

I love seeing Anna Sawai in these fashionable circles after her impressive awards season run, which saw her win Best Actress awards at both the Emmys and Golden Globes for Shōgun. These pannier-inspired skirts are notoriously tricky, but her Dior Spring 2025 Haute Couture look, featuring broderie anglaise detailing, is simply divine. The striped-over crinoline structure pays homage to the historical nature of this silhouette, making it feel right at home in such a storied venue. Silver Dior sandals over the runway lace up sandals (thankfully), and Cartier jewelry completed the look.

A couture throwback

I love a pull from a previous collection, but this blush Dior Fall 2021 Haute Couture draped dress is giving me a strong case of déjà vu. That being said, Laetitia Casta’s dress is both beautiful and glamorous. And let’s be real—it’s refreshing to see her step outside of Dolce & Gabbana for a change. Her look was elevated jewels from the Dior Haute Joaillerie collection

Mary Poppins chic

Isabelle Adjani took a different approach, layering a red cashmere Dior coat over a black wool Bar jacket and wool and silk pants. While the coat added a dramatic flair, the hat nudged this look into very theatrical territory—somewhere between couture and Mary Poppins cosplay.

Pure, effortless refinement

Golshifteh Farahani has a grace about her, and this Dior Resort 2025 black velvet gown only reinforced that. The fringed necklace and matching earrings added just the right amount of sparkle.

Dior and the Louvre—a perfect pairing of history and haute couture.
