Eiza González silver Alberta Ferretti dress 'Ash' LA Premiere

Eiza González is a certified red carpet superstar in my book. The kind of star who can make even the trickiest looks work through sheer presence alone. And at the Ash LA premiere, she needed every ounce of that power to make this Alberta Ferretti Pre-Fall 2025 gown work.

This silver asymmetrical long-sleeve silk number—adorned with delicate embroidered appliqué—has all the makings of an elegant, timeless piece. But let’s be real: it also feels like it was designed with someone a lot older in mind. It takes a certain level of red carpet mastery to inject youth and vibrancy into a gown that skews more mature, and honestly? I don’t think many could’ve done it as successfully as Eiza.

Now, that’s not to say she should only stick to her signature backless, plunging bombshell aesthetic—she can evolve. But after the perfection that was her SXSW premiere look, I was hoping for a continuation of that energy.

And I have to say it—the V-panel on the skirt is irrationally bothering me. Maybe it’s the placement? Maybe it’s the way it disrupts the flow of the silk? Either way, it’s an eye twitch moment.

She finished the look with David Yurman jewels and a sleek, braided ponytail—clean, simple, and effective.

I’m hoping to see the Eiza edge in future.
