Gal Gadot goes sheer for Disney's ‘Snow White’ LA premiere

The Snow White press tour has been considerably scaled back, but even with the reduced fanfare, I was holding out hope for a real moment from Gal Gadot at the world premiere at the El Capitan Theatre on Saturday.

Turns out, I was asking for too much.

Draped in a Chloé Fall 2025 lace dress, Gal delivered a look that had me asking, why? We all know that her stylist, Karla Welch, has a serious soft spot for a sheer Chloé dress, but this one should’ve gone straight to Olivia Wilde’s closet. However, Olivia—who practically wore a sheer whisper of a dress to the Vanity Fair Oscar Party—might have found this one a touch too tame.

A fully sheer lace bodice at a Disney premiere? With kids in attendance? It feels like a wildly inappropriate choice, especially when there were so many ways to bring a darkly glamorous, villainous energy without, well, this.

And beyond the context, the dress itself is just plain underwhelming. I miss the days when Gal was working with Elizabeth Stewart, because at least back then, her red carpet choices had direction and impact. This? It feels messy, confused, and completely at odds with what could’ve been a major moment.

To be clear, I wasn’t expecting Gal to show up in a literal princess gown—far from it. But if her team needed a reference, they could’ve at least glanced at Angelina Jolie’s Maleficent press tour and taken notes on how to serve high-fashion villainy with finesse.

Tiffany & Co. jewels completed the look, but honestly? I’m already ready to move on. Maybe one premiere is all we needed after all. So disappointing.
