After an underwhelming fashion moment at the Snow White LA premiere, Gal Gadot took a step in the right direction with this Jil Sander Fall 2025 leather dress, marking the final collection from Lucie and Luke Meier, for a major career milestone—receiving her very own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
This leather dress certainly has all the makings of a standout red carpet moment. The fringed neckline draping elegantly over her shoulders adds a touch of movement, almost like the swoop of a royal cape—fitting for an Evil Queen. But then we get to the skirt, where the sparse, scattered fringe detailing makes it feel like the magic spell wore off halfway through the design process, leaving us with a skirt that doesn’t quite match the drama of the bodice. I don’t hate it, but the look would have been stronger without them, as they feel quite random.
And then there’s the footwear situation. Black and silver ankle-strap sandals with this dress? It’s giving “stylist had five minutes to decide and panicked.” A sleek, minimalist sandal—perhaps a simple ivory Stuart Weitzman Nudist—would have been the perfect finishing touch. This was so close to a fairytale ending, but not quite.
