Gigi Hadid was out in New York’s Flatiron Plaza on Thursday, bringing a touch of gilded glamour to the streets while promoting Rabanne’s new Million Gold For Her Eau de Parfum. Naturally, she dressed the part, embodying the luxurious spirit of the fragrance in a Rabanne Fall 2025 ensemble felt inspired by the perfume’s bottle.
She paired a layer yellow chiffon dress and silver sequined jumpsuit with a metallic gold trench coat made of plastic—because Rabanne loves an unexpected material moment. And to really drive the theme home? The metallic gold boots.
But wait a minute—this is feeling very familiar. Anyone else getting flashbacks to her plastic yellow LaQuan Smith trench coat from the Deadpool & Wolverine New York Premiere After-Party last July? The déjà vu is strong, and while I loved that moment, this one doesn’t quite hit the same way.
Had she gone trench-free or committed to the full Look 30 from the runway, I think this could have been a much stronger fashion statement. As it stands, the coat and the dress feel at odds with each other rather than complementing.
Thoughts?
