While Lewis Hamilton didn’t deliver his usual paddock-side fashion spectacle at the 2025 Chinese Grand Prix in Shanghai, we were at least treated to a stylish appearance from Gong Jun, who attended the event as a guest of LVMH.
As you may know, Louis Vuitton is making big moves in Formula 1 this year—not just as an official partner, but also as the title sponsor for the entire 2025 season. Their iconic Trophy Trunks will take center stage during the podium ceremonies, adding an extra touch of luxury to the sport. And speaking of Louis Vuitton, Gong Jun—who has been a brand ambassador since 2021—made sure to represent in a Spring 2025 look.

His outfit featured a colourful overshirt with uniquely abstract stripes, proving once again that he knows how to keep the statement jacket trend alive. It’s charming, playful, and undeniably eye-catching. The shorts? A solid choice, though I can’t help but wonder if a different colour might have made the overall look even stronger.
The Louis Vuitton sneakers, however, are where I hesitate. They feel a little too chunky for my taste, though I get that oversized kicks are the trend right now. Personally, I would’ve preferred the sleeker shoes seen in the lookbook.
Overall, Gong Jun brought a fun, fashion-forward energy to the Grand Prix—something we usually expect from Hamilton.
