Kelly Marie Tran joined Lily Gladstone for the opening gala screening of The Wedding Banquet at the 2025 BFI Flare: London LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, and while her red carpet history is filled with bold, culturally rich fashion moments, this time, she took a different approach.
Much like her co-star, Kelly Marie Tran has been a supporter of Vietnamese designers—who could forget the breathtaking looks she delivered at the Raya and the Last Dragon virtual premiere or the 2022 Oscars? Both she and Lily are women who proudly embrace and celebrate their heritage, making their joint presence on the red carpet feel even more special.
On this occasion, however, Kelly Marie Tran stepped into the Quanta gown by Harbison Studio. With its striking gold geometric embellishments, the dress has a modern, sculptural quality that feels both regal and understated. She leaned into the gilded theme with a pair of gold leaf earrings, keeping the styling polished and refined.
Now, I know some may be longing for the more dramatic Kelly Marie Tran fashion moments of the past, but I’m appreciating this shift in pace. The silhouette is graceful, the details are thoughtful, and if I had to make one tweak, I’d suggest taking the hem up an inch for a cleaner finish.
Does the look feels familiar? Sophia Bush wore the same gown to the 2024 White House Correspondents’ Dinner.
