Growing up with two brothers, I had no choice but to be a football fan. Formula One, however, was an acquired taste—one that grew over time, thanks in large part to Lewis Hamilton and the Netflix show Drive to Survive, which offers a fascinating behind-the-scenes look at the sport.
Now, with the 2025/26 season underway, there’s even more intrigue than usual. Lewis Hamilton’s move from Mercedes to Ferrari has shaken up the grid, but while his performance at the Australian Grand Prix wasn’t ideal (a P10 finish—painful), his wardrobe certainly didn’t disappoint.
Day 1: A Subdued Start
For his first official day in red, Lewis took a surprisingly understated approach, opting for a tailored black Jacquemus Spring 2025 suit. Given his usual penchant for oversized silhouettes, this was a welcome switch up. The crisp white shirt seen in the lookbook was notably absent, but we all know Lewis loves a bare-chest moment, so no surprises there. It was business-like yet effortlessly cool—a soft launch, if you will.

Day 2: A Return to Comfort
By the second day, Lewis was back in his signature relaxed aesthetic, wearing a brown Zegna Fall 2025 bomber jacket with an aviator feel—possibly a nod to the fast-paced nature of F1. He paired it with a shirt and pleated trousers for a polished, yet casual vibe. My only gripe? The black Bottega Veneta Haddock boots. A brown shoe would have blended more seamlessly, but hey, when Lewis loves something, he commits.

Day 3: Spring Forward
Finally, some lighter tones. On day three, Lewis embraced a more spring-ready look, stepping out in a Bottega Veneta Spring 2025 red, white, and blue checked overshirt paired with lightweight denim trousers. This was hands down my favourite outfit from the Australian leg of the season—fresh, relaxed, and a break from the neutrals.

Day 4: Ferrari Red, of Course
For race day, Lewis fully embraced his new team’s signature shade, sporting a Willy Chavarria Fall 2025 track top in a bold Ferrari red. The cotton canvas trousers, reinforced with double-layer knees, felt like a subtle nod to the hardworking mechanics in the pit crew—a thoughtful detail that tied the look to the sport itself. And, of course, his trusty Bottega Veneta boots made yet another appearance, proving they’re as much a part of his uniform as his racing suit.
While his race results weren’t ideal, Lewis’ fashion game remained strong. If this is any indication of his Ferrari era, we’re in for some very stylish pit stops.
